The House
‘Barngables’ stands in its own grounds down a secluded lane approximately a 25 minute drive from Galway City, on the southern edge of Connemara. The local town Oughterard is on the shores of Lough Corrib and at the edge of the stunning Connemara Mountainous Region. Lough Corrib, which is one of the very few limestone lakes where wild trout can be caught lies at the bottom of our lane. Built in the traditional style, our spacious home has two double bedrooms on the ground floor with en suite bathrooms. The large farm style kitchen and dining area complete with a log burning stove comfortably seats ten people. The large lounge, also with a wood burning stove, includes wifi access, a smart T.V. and sound system. Double doors open out onto stone terrace covered by a west facing vined pergola and large private garden. Upstairs you will find a bathroom, two double bedrooms and a third which can be dressed as either a twin or double.
